BMW Motors to show 3 highly-engineered car including Active
Tourer concept, 3-series Gran Turismo and 328 diesel at New York auto show.

York auto show will prove a sparkling event for BMW Motors with North American
debuts of three cars: the Active Tourer concept car, the 328d and 3-series Gran
Turismo at New York Auto show.To display where BMW is headed, Active Tourer
concept will make an appearance. This hatchback features 3-cylinder gas engine coupled
with an electric motor. Together, these are said to achieve 95 mpg. A fun
characteristic of concept is "cool shade" glass roof. Using a
suspended particle device, this roof can go from crystal clear to shaded with just
touch of a button.BMW 3-series Gran Turismo will also grace show floor.
Features specific to Gran Turismo model include following: longer wheelbase,
more rear-seat room and optional panoramic moonroof. 3-series GT arrives in United
States showrooms this summer and is available with either a TwinPower turbo 4-cylinder
or an inline 6-cylinder engine.
Expanding BMW 3 Series lineup even further in United
States will be much anticipated 328d. Turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine
boasts 180 PS and 280 lb-ft of torque, as well as a 0-60 mph time of just 7.2
seconds. Adding that 328d is expected to achieve more than 40 mpg sweetens the
deal for BMW 3 Series Car fans. Along with further details on cars noted above,
BMW Motors is also expected to announce it will be adding 4G LTE mobile
connectivity to its vehicles. Other technologies include expansion of approved
apps which allow BMW users to listen to audio books and share their location
with friends and family. According to BMW Automotive, most 2014 cars will also
include BMW Assist eCall emergency-call service for 10 years as standard
equipment. This technology automatically alerts first responders when a crash
occurs and also relays the likelihood of severe injuries.
