Central government's decision to announce 3% hike in price of SUVs to 30% will not affect price of Ford EcoSport SUV when it is revealed in India. As per a report in The Hindu, company’s official said models such as EcoSport will not be affected by this rise in duty; Endeavour model, however, will now cost more. After impressive show by compact SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles) like Renault Duster in India, other car manufacturers are curious to get a share of this fast-growing segment of vehicles. Car maniacs are looking forward to the launch of Ford EcoSport scheduled for March 2013 although no date has been officially confirmed yet.
