The 2014 Porsche Panamera features as world’s first luxury
plug-in car. It is the second generation of the much known Panamera GT sedan.
Not only this, two more well-appointed Executive versions of the same sedan are
debuting along with it. These two versions have been named as Panamera S and
Panamera 4S. An enhanced wheelbase, 3.0
liters twin turbocharged V6 power mill are being mentioned as major 2014
Porsche Panamera specifications.
These new models are based on latest advanced technologies
that increases the fuel efficiency of vehicles by 56 percent. Along with it the
driving and operating comfort of these vehicles has also been taken up to a new
level. The car will officially debuts at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show on 21st
of April. Some of the defining features of the Panamera S E-Hybrid are
a powerful electric motor and an electric battery that performs on a much
higher magnitude to supply more energy and enables the car in better way to get
charged from external electric grid. The new electric powertrain of this sedan produces almost
double power as compared to its previous version. The new car abstracts its
power from a highly developed lithium-ion battery that has been clocked at
9.4kWh. It is five times stronger than the previous model that use to produce
power with the help of a nickel metal hydride technology.
All these latest generation versions of Panamera will debut
in Canada during the second half of this year. The starting price for this new
range has been kept at $89, 500. Panamera 4 has been priced at $94, 800. The
price quoted for Panamera S E Hybrid has been quoted as $113, 300 while
Panamera S and Panamera 4S have been given a price tag of $106, 600 and $112,
500 respectively. Panamera GTS has been quoted at price of $129, 400 while
Panamera 4S Executive has been priced at $143, 600. The highest prices have
been quoted for Panamera Turbo and Panamera Executive that are $161, 500 and
$184, 100 respectively. These both models are the top end models of this range
of hybrid cars.
