Honda Accord launches in New Zealand with best of the automotive technologies
that give it the title of being an All – in – One Accord.
The all –
new Honda Accord was launched during the week in New Zealand with three
variants. 2013 Honda Accord is being termed as the All – in – One Accord with
the latest technologies that it comes loaded with. The base variant for the car
is the Honda Accord S which is powered by the 2.4-litre 4 cylinder engine then
is the Navigation and Technology variant which is powered by a similar engine
but has difference in terms of features and finally is the V6NT which has the
3.5-litre V6 engine, that stands at top of the line. The former two feature
Five speed auto transmission whereas the V6 gets a Six speed transmission.
The car comes loaded with features. The
cruise control of the car is very precise and the steering comes mounted with
buttons, one of which activated the Lane Keep Assist system which helps protect
against a lot of panel damage which is cause at times during lane changing. There
is also the Collision Mitigation Braking which works in multiple stages. It
warns the driver in case of a forthcoming trouble before it activates the light
braking and then it finally brings to car almost to stop. These stages help
keep the driver involved thus improving on the reaction that he might require. Another
highlight of the 2013 Honda Accord is the LaneWatch blind spot monitoring. The
left side mirror is a little bigger in comparison to the right one and there is
a camera which gives a wide field of vision. The video for the same plays on
the 8 inch screen that’s present on the centre of the dashboard. The features
are a part of the Advanced Driver Assistance System created by Honda and are
expected to be seen in the upgraded version of the CRV as well.
All in all, the Honda car target market
will be quite satisfied with the new advanced automotive technologies. Apart
from the already Honda fans, this All – in – One Honda Accord is set to widen
the consumer base as well for Honda.
