Wagon is better than highly-engineered BMW 3 series. You
just need to make intelligent decision.
In pantheon of terminated body styles, the wagon proves supreme. What was once a fixture of automotive world is now offered by just a few manufacturer and few are big seller. Buyers instead attract toward crossovers, SUVs and hatchbacks when cargo utility is desired. This leaves wagon fans with few choices.
New wagon recently debuted BMW's update of 3 Series Sports
Wagon. However, auto brand decided to one-up its own little wagon with last
week's announcement of a brand-new BMW 3 series hatchback.BMW has tried GT hatch layout before with 5 Series GT. It
fell flat with low sales in United States.
I think new BMW 3 series GT 2013 is set for same fate
especially when you consider that wagon is well-executed. I found one almost
hidden at 2013 Detroit auto show last month and was happy to see more
prominently displayed at Chicago auto show leading us to shoot numerous photos.
Striking blue paint work highlights its looks but even the
staid silver displayed in Detroit highlighted handsome lines of wagon's
styling. It surely is more fluid than first shots of GT and its frumpy rear.
Inside wagon, you get backseat space that I found so spacious
for my family in new 3 Series sedan last year. GT has 2.8” more rear legroom,
though.
GT also outdoes Sports Wagon in cargo area. It carries 18.3
cubic feet of space, a full cubic foot more than wagon. It gains that space
because wheelbase is 4.3” longer than wagon and exterior length a surprising
7.9” longer.
BMW 3 series price in India and BMW 3 series sports wagon India
are not revealed but supposed to be affordable.
