Pininfarina plans to convert this exclusive model into a normal usage street legal model.

Pininfarina is all set a few more sets of Pininfarina SergioConcept Car. This concept was first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show aiming at a few well-off buyers that could spare a hefty amount of $3.9 million in a snap. As in words of their CEO, Silvio Angori,”We are considering a very limited run of five to six units.” The basic design of Sergio has been taken from Ferrari 458 Italia that has been incorporated with similar 459 PS V8 power train that couples with a seven speed dual clutch transmission gear box. The car’s name has been kept after the chairman and CEO of the Company. Pininfarina cars are designed by  Fabio Filippini, who while addressing the media added that the company do realize that the car design takes it to an extremely higher level, and they do plan to bring-in street versions of the same.

As in words of FiIlippini “We already know how and where to modify the Sergio concept car to make it into a compliant, street legal model.” He further added that, a windshield will be needed to be installed in 2013 Pininfarina cars so that the barchetta may be easily pass through helmet laws in Europe while passing through streets. The brand Pininfarina was established in 1930 by Battista “Pinin” Farina. The brand has earned a good score for developing several legendary cars in last 80 years. Some of the  known models in the long appealing list of Pininfarina cars are Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Jaguar XJ220, and 1960 Ferrari 250 GTE. Considering the huge success of all the previous models, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that exclusive and street version of Sergio will definitely write a new success story.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors on to expand its limits to new markets.

TKM has been considering a scope of expansion in several new markets. Last we heard it was exporting Toyota Etios sedan and hatchback to South Africa in since early months of 2012. And to add to this list two new names have been added recently- Zimbabwe and Mauritius. The same Toyota hatchback - Etios is being exported to both the countries. As in words of TKM’s Managing Director, Mr. Hiroshi Nakawaga, “Last year, we started exports of Etios to South Africa and we have so far shipped 20, 000 units. We are looking at exporting the model to other countries neighbouring South Africa. We have in fact started exporting to Zimbabwe and Mauritius.” Further he added that it is looking forward to increase its export volumes in upcoming months.
 

In the initial days of present month, Toyota brought-in new models of Liva hatchback and Etios sedan. These models had been stuffed with some necessary interior modifications and a bit enhanced exteriors. The mechanical aspects of both the cars have been maintained as usual, while Etios Liva was bestowed with a bigger power mill that was extracted from the larger Etios sedan. Thus Toyota is undoubtedly the hot hatch of India for 2013. In respect to international markets, the badge of Liva has been nixed, the suspension has been given a tougher form, and the ECU has been tuned a bit differently. The visuals haven’t been changed much while the interior may be expected to be permanently black. The next modifications that Toyota plans to bring on exterior, mechanical, and interior fronts are awaited eagerly. Toyota hatchback price has been kept at range of Rs.4.46 – Rs. 6.23 lakhs. Mahindra Motors is highly keen to introduce an all-electric car for Indian buyers. Mahindra e20 electric car will carry latest auto technologies so be ready to drive an excellent car. Mahindra Motors has officially announced that replacement of Reva electric car, Mahindra e20 electric car will be launched today. Mahindra e20 car was earlier displayed at Auto Expo as Reva NX-R. 2013 Mahindra e20 Car will be built at Mahindra’s new assembly line in Bangalore. This plant, according to company, has annual production capacity of 30,000 units.

 

Mahindra e20 car features an electric motor that takes power from 48-volt lithium-ion batteries capable of powering car for about 100km on a single charge. Mahindra sees promise in this project and is considering leasing out batteries which are an expensive component to replace. Mahindra e20 car price is likely to range from Rs 5.5-6 lakh, country’s latest EV would not be cheap but SOPs on electric cars could bring prices down in future. Mahindra e20 car price in India will be suitable to country’s economic conditions so do not worry about anything.

Next generation Camaro will be crafted in the Lansing, Michigan. General Motors Michigan plant is receiving a $38 million dollar Investment.

GM Next-Gen Camaro is all set to design in a $38 million dollar Invested plant. General Motors Michigan plant will be going to get loads of employment and jobs. This has the reason behind it and the probable reason for this is to expand the roles. Cadillac ATS and Cadillac CTS are going to debut by the company in the upcoming New York auto show. Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero said that “the expansion could add as many as 150 new jobs as well as inject $1.7 million in new taxes into its local economy over the next 12 years. If it goes through, GM will break new ground as early as July and be done with the project by 2015”.

General Motors inside Official said that “the automaker is still hashing out the business case for the upgrades. Already employing 1,643 workers, the Lansing plant recently took in a $190 million to add another shift for the 2013 Cadillac ATS–and likely prepare for the redesigned 2014 Cadillac CTS. Both Cadillac’s will share General Motors’ lightweight Alpha platform, and it is assumed the Camaro will go on a diet and implement the Alpha in its next generation, too.

The next Gen. Camaro is anticipated to debut as a 2015 or 2016 model”. Last year  the Lansing plant made nearly 75,000 ATSs and CTSs. It is for sure that there must be for sure high demand for the car and thus General Motors want to expand.  Chevrolet India is also doing a good job especially after the debut of Chevrolet Sail UV-A. All in all we are eagerly waiting this dashing and handsome car to come to subcontinent. We are pretty sure about this that Chevrolet Camaro would be adding stars to the shoulder of GM.

The 2013 V8 supercars represent the future of the cars. The Red Bull Racing champions Craig Lowndes and Jaime Wincup were the dominating players of the V8 Supercars season that began in Adelaide in the previous part of this month. Not much difference was noted in comparison to the 2012 season. But when noticed closely, the 2013 V8 supercars were adorning a completely changed machine under the old covers. And with this, it can be finally said that the V8’s the Car of The Future is finally on stage. Car of the future is nothing but a programme that is being run from last few years under which each year new cars are revealed. 

These are more environmental friendly and are technically much upgraded along with being pocket friendly. But the main tag that can be given to the V8 supercars is a bit different and has been named as “Bigger and Faster”. These V8 Supercars of the Future bear the very same 5 liter capacity power source but the old heavy chassis has been replaced by a skeleton of modern racing car. The rear axle plays live credits to the independent rear suspension that has been bestowed to these cars. The brakes are bigger while the wheels bear a rim of 18 inches. The safety factor of the car seems to be specially taken care of and can be noticed easily in the first glance. As explained by its Chief Steward Steve Chopping “ When the rules came in a couple of decades back, the Australian market was dominated by Commodore and Falcon sized cars, but that’s changed. The best-sellers in Australia now are the Mazda3s and the Toyota Corolla. The Commodore struggles in to the top ten and I don’t think the Falcon makes to the top twenty.”

BMW Motors to show 3 highly-engineered car including Active Tourer concept, 3-series Gran Turismo and 328 diesel at New York auto show. 

New York auto show will prove a sparkling event for BMW Motors with North American debuts of three cars: the Active Tourer concept car, the 328d and 3-series Gran Turismo at New York Auto show.To display where BMW is headed, Active Tourer concept will make an appearance. This hatchback features 3-cylinder gas engine coupled with an electric motor. Together, these are said to achieve 95 mpg. A fun characteristic of concept is "cool shade" glass roof. Using a suspended particle device, this roof can go from crystal clear to shaded with just touch of a button.BMW 3-series Gran Turismo will also grace show floor. Features specific to Gran Turismo model include following: longer wheelbase, more rear-seat room and optional panoramic moonroof. 3-series GT arrives in United States showrooms this summer and is available with either a TwinPower turbo 4-cylinder or an inline 6-cylinder engine.

Expanding BMW 3 Series lineup even further in United States will be much anticipated 328d. Turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine boasts 180 PS and 280 lb-ft of torque, as well as a 0-60 mph time of just 7.2 seconds. Adding that 328d is expected to achieve more than 40 mpg sweetens the deal for BMW 3 Series Car fans.
