Mahindra Motors is highly keen to introduce an all-electric
car for Indian buyers. Mahindra e20 electric car will carry latest auto
technologies so be ready to drive an excellent car. Mahindra Motors has
officially announced that replacement of Reva electric car, Mahindra e20
electric car will be launched today. Mahindra e20 car was earlier displayed at
Auto Expo as Reva NX-R. 2013 Mahindra e20 Car will be built at Mahindra’s new assembly
line in Bangalore. This plant, according to company, has annual production
capacity of 30,000 units.
Mahindra e20 car features an electric motor that takes power
from 48-volt lithium-ion batteries capable of powering car for about 100km on a
single charge. Mahindra sees promise in this project and is considering leasing
out batteries which are an expensive component to replace. Mahindra e20 car price
is likely to range from Rs 5.5-6 lakh, country’s latest EV would not be cheap
but SOPs on electric cars could bring prices down in future. Mahindra e20 car price
in India will be suitable to country’s economic conditions so do not worry
